In the last few days, since we heard the news of Jody's passing, I've had time to reflect. I wasn't a close friend of Jody's but someone I held close, one of those special people that you have such respect and fondness for. She had the loveliest calm strength about her, always watching, always in control and always looking out for others. Her achievements in life were beyond admirable, her swimming, the fundraising, the management of the choir and of course being a fabulous mum, wife, friend and more. But my lasting memory will always be Jody's voice, when she sang solos I would lose concentration at choir, I would find myself wanting to watch her sing, her voice had such natural beauty and elegance. A Thousand Years will forever be my Jody song. You've gone too soon, its just not fair. But your memory and the impact you've had on so many of us, will live on forever.
